Born in London in 1973, Danis first artistic training was at Middlesex University where she successfully completed a foundation course in Art and Design. At the age of twenty, her obvious talent led her to apply to the University of Central England to study for a degree in Printed Textiles.
After graduating with honours Dani spent three months freelancing as a print designer before being offered a full time position as a junior textile designer for Monkwell Fabrics; but her big break came in 1998 when she landed a prestigious job designing upholstery fabrics and wallpaper for Osborne and Little.
In 2000 Dani decided to pursue her first love, painting, and took the bold step of going freelance. Her confidence has been more than rewarded, as she has been busy ever since, producing artwork for a variety of surface design companies, and most recently, book illustrations. Her latest images are chic contemporary portraits of posing pets; painted in acrylics on paper in muted browns and sepias, they juxtapose classic with quirky in a stylish, ultramodern combination
